     The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office will be offering three hour-long webinars in mid-August, with each focusing on a specific intellectual property topic.  All of the webinars will be geared to laypeople, including artists, small biz owners & entrepreneurs.  All three  will address filing intellectual property applications electronically, using the USPTO’s e-file systems for copyrights, trademarks and patents. So far the schedule is:

  • August 12, 2014: Copyright applications;
  • August 13, 2014: Trademark Applications; and
  • August 14, 2014: Patent Applications

You can register for one, two or all of the webinars. There is no cost to attend (virtual attendance) the webinars, but the USPTO reminds us that space is limited. Currently the webinars are scheduled to run 1-2p.m, but you should confirm the time by visiting the USPTO’s website. Register at the Patent & Trademark Office website, http://www.uspto.gov or try the registration link, here.

Let us know if you attended and if you learned anything useful!
